She does doesn't she Maggy? Poor old Jessie! She moults all the time but a couple of times a year it comes out in handfuls. I don't wear anything dark much, like you, but it is quite satisfying getting the vacuum out and hoovering up the dog fluff which blows around our wooden floor like tumbleweed! I also feel a little bit sorry for the boys who never have dog fluff free school uniforms!

I finished off the front garden yesterday afternoon, raked the one small lawn to get some of the moss out - it's more than grass on that side! I also scattered some wildflower, cornfield and wildlife friendly seeds over the one side as well.
I finally planted my sunflower seeds and morning glory ones.
Starting today off with a little bit of housework - well my niece is popping round later - then out to sort out some more!
Glad you enjoyed your glass of wine Maggy.

I see you've all been busy. BM I scattered wild flower seeds a while ago but not sure exactly where. Well the grass got cut, the parsnips are now in their final resting place (a large pot) I sowed morning glory and red stock which I bought in Spain, Courgette are sown as is Monarda and Laurentia. I've planted out the Cerinthe into the borders and did some weeding. I've pulled up quite a lot of forget-me-not's which were threatening to take over the borders and blocking the light to quite a few seedlings. I'm absolutely shattered this evening but really pleased it stayed dry to let me do everything. JW Verbascum are just lovely, really cottage garden ish, what type did you buy? Your Forsythia should be fine, they say now is the time to cut it back. Hopefully if you've given it a bit more roomit will flourish.

I didnt get anything much done to-day I did some washing! and I watered the ginger plant I put out yesterday it was getting on my nerves taking so much room up in my small conservatory! I wedged it between two rhoda,s and an azalia I thought they would protect it a bit, its still in its large pot I think I might leave it in I dont think I can dig a big enough hole anywhere suitable. And I sat in my daughters garden this afternoon they were outside when we went!! but I was cold! anyway she talked us into staying for tea so I have had a lovely day.

Planted some foxgloves and an agapanthus (it was exceedingly pot bound!) in the front, watered my seeds & little plants and gave them a weak feed. Planted my runner beans, tidied up round the back, had visitors and tonight I have done some end-of-year accounts! Phew, now wonder I'm tired - back to work for a rest!
