You are so good Cheery, even your so called moments of madness aren't that bad I've gone down a jeans size and have treated myself to some new pairs of jeans. All the others are being thrown out!

Well done Plocket, I bet that's a great feeling(gnash gnash)! Throwing out the old jeans must be so good for the soul! Cheery, I think you are doing brilliantly, you should be very proud!

Skimmed milk is an abomination. Might as well use water imo. Breakfast: Toasted multi-seed bagel, philadelphia extra light and 2 lean slices of bacon Lunch....I didn't have any cos I went out with my sister straight from work. Dinner: Jacket spud with a big heap of quorn chilli...mmmmmmmm I'll probably have some fruit before bedtime.

I never thought I would be able to go to skimmed milk, as I grew up with it virtually straight from the cow, but if I have semi-skimmed while out now, I know it and find it too rich!! I remember a few weeks ago, sending Craig for some milk from the corner shop and he came back with semi, as they had no skimmed and I couldn't wait to finish it, to start using skimmed again.
Forgot to say last time, well done.

I have lost another pound! I know it doesn't sound like much, but I'm weighing myself at the same time every week wearing the same clothes (washed between Thursdays I hasten to add)...I'm really chuffed and am feeling more optimistic about getting the first stone off by the Winter Solstice.... (over the holiday period I am allowing myself a box of chocs as OH always buys me a box of Lindt chocolates which I've adored since I was a child....)

Breakfast: same as yesterday (had another bagel left and we've always got bacon in the fridge) Lunch: packet of rice cakes and a pear Dinner: I've made a huge pot of vegetable soup with courgette, leeks, onions, celery, carrot, parsnip, caullie, peppers and a little bit of tater with fresh thyme and chicken stock....it smells so good that OH has asked for some as well.

I've realised that I'm not getting enough fruit and veg...I'm trying really hard to eat healthily but it's difficult to make sure that I get 5 portions of fruit & veg plus some sort of calcium source every day....I know that I rely quite heavily on carbohydrate and protein, but if I'm going to be on this 'diet' long term the food has to be palatable.
Must try harder.....

Chopped Banana, heaped teaspoonfull of honey baked grenola and a vanilla yogurt...try it...it's fab.
Lunch: Half a toasted teacake at a GC with my sister.
Dinner: Lamb curry, plain boiled rice and 2 chapatis...I might make a cucumber riata to serve with it.

didn't lose anything this week, but have 5 meals out planned so I'll have to have a diet holiday until after them. Still sticking to the healthy eating with no cr&p. I intend to enjoy my meals out...and I'll just be sensible. No puddings

I just now caught up with this thread. Well done Cheery! Sounds like a very good well balanced diet plan you have. What sort of sweetener do you use? Is it one of the artificial sweeteners? I can't use those as they make my migraines worse (if one could imagine that would be possible. : ) Ewwww to skim milk! I agree! Water would be better than using that. ;D Into every life a little Lindt chocolate must come. I have a bar of the raspberry and one of the orange creame in the kitchen now. Well done too, Miss Plocket! I never toss out my old jeans unless they are a holey mess.

Big Sis and I have decided on a moratorium until the 1st Monday after New Year. I'll continue to be reasonably careful over what I eat but will not weigh in or be too fierce until after the party season now.
