Breakfast: 3 slices of v lean bacon, grilled. Egg fried in fry-light & 3 crispbreads
I've brought some food with me....but whether I get to eat it or not is another thing!
Chicken sandwiches made with 3 slices hovis (small loaf) and extra-light philadelphia Packet of French Fries Banana 2 tangerines vanilla yogurt a finger of fudge! (only 130 calories...and I might need a treat!!! oh yes she did)
When OH picked me up he'd saved me a bit of home made chicken curry and rice...made without fat and with yogurt in the sauce to make it creammmmmmmmmmmmmy.....tasted really nice. I don't usually eat that late (9.30pm) but I was starving after the on call.

Thanks BM We have the same amount to lose (more or less) so are trying to focus on half a stone at a time. We're saving £5 a week as well...so that by the time next spring comes around we'll hopefully be at least a dress size smaller....then we'll spend the dosh on something nice. ...and I'm not particularly active really. I might rush around at work but I'm not a sporty person by any means. The only thing I do is walk really....and not much of that...and garden of course. the traffic's too awful for me to use a bike, the swimming baths here are dreadfully expensive...and I'm a lazy git..... How can you be lazy? There's the housework, the gardening, the walking to and fro, and then work - it all adds up to more than you realise. Have just remembered - Malt Loaf - less than 4% fat, recommended by Rosemary Conley (just don't spread an inch thick of butter on it!)

Marshmallow, fruit gums and kit kats are all quite good diet treats, trouble is, it once I have a 'treat' I'm off the wagon. I started a diet on Saturday haven't stopped eating since, its psychological! I'm organising a girls night out to a concert over christmas and all the girls i'm going with are size 8 or 10, i'm as big as the 4 of them put together!

That would mean you are size 32 at best Ems and you are nothing like that. You are nice and and cuddly......

How many eggs do you eat in a week Cheery? I have about 7 eggs The witch ;D I did a bit of research and know that I should keep it to 3-5 really..but it evens out in the end as some weeks I hardly have any. Monday's diet diary. Breakfast: slice of wholemeal toast with scrambled egg (done in the microwave with a little milk) Lunch: Banana chopped up with an M&S vanilla v low fat yogurt with a big juicy pear and a packet of quavers. Dinner tonight is a home made beef casserole, made with lean braising steak, carrot, parsnip, leeks, thyme, tomato puree, & bovril stock. Topped off with thinly sliced tater that will soak up the gravy. Supper: I bought some nice strawberries and raspberries from the market this morning, might have a dollop of low-fat ice cream with them. ;D

It prolly looks like I'm eating too much to be on a diet...but sister and I used a book that you can use to calculate how much you can eat, according to how much you weigh at present. As I'm a BIG girl, I can get away with eating 1600 calories a day and still lose weight..albeit slowly. I'll have to cut down as I shrink but that's not a problem. I could lose the weight really quickly by going on a very low calorie diet...but don't see the point as I'm seeing this as a long-term project...

Cheery your doing really well, it sounds like you are finding a tasty variety of things to eat, and staying strong even when you have to cook chips for others!

How are you doing then chuck? In a way it's easier, still having to cook fattening stuff for others, it keeps me occupied. I really must have cereal one day...keep forgetting as I love a cooked brekky.

Break: Packet of walker's Fench Fries and a tangerine
Lunch: Was too busy with son....
Dinner: Beef in oyster sauce, stir fry veg. Handful of grapes and 3 rice cakes. yum.

That's brilliant Cheery, well done for sticking at it. Your meals do sound really tasty though - you seem to be finding delicious alternatives to going down the chip road. I'm the same with breakfast - I know the benefits of cereal but I'd much rather have something cooked. My Weetabix gets eaten as a snack later in the day, if it gets eaten at all. Really well done - are you finding that your clothes are getting looser? You're becoming the incentive I need to get a move on and shed my far too many excess pounds.

You must look forward to every meal, they look so yummy! And with no snacking (BAD snacking) in between I bet they taste gorgeous! I was thinking of you tonight when I pulled a sausage roll out of the fridge to gnaw on - it could easily be a banana, or a carrot....... You're putting me to shame! Well done again Cheery.

You can make reparation this week if you feel you must.
