They are alright for now, I can just see three just poking through. If you wait till they have 'true' leaves you can always move the then--(if you want to) Photograph of Last years Parsnips in a Container--

I was looking back today at when we sowed our veg and nearly all were the end of March, Parsnips though were sown on the 9th of April and sticking their heads up by the 29th of April. - All were sown straight into the ground. - no chitting. Thinking back I remember chatting to GW members and their Parsnips had not germinated, but within a week or so they had. - so don't give up on them just yet. Another thought is, it's only the last week that the weather has been consistantly warm.

That is true--I think I was getting impatient but mine are now Sprouting so I will wait a little longer before I transfer them into a Container-- Are you talking about transfering them from kitchen paper into pots or from pots into containers. If the first ( kitchen paper to pots ) I would do it asap, but still keep them protected. ( not too warm though.) Thats how I understand it anyway from all that I have read. If from pots to large containers I'd also do it soon but wait for the true leaves to develop but before the tap root develops. Root disturbance is where the most problems can occur from my understanding.

I've got 2 window boxes with seeds in, and I have scattered some into the boarders, but I do still have seeds left, so maybe ill have another scatter as they don't save well do they.

Maggs there are two types which look similar to each other-One is a Good friend and the other a Bad one. I think the quick moving one is the goody and the slow one the Baddy--I will have to Google it to find out more--

Mine are still sat on the paper, the only time they move is when I water them. I will give them some more time, but may put them in the airing cupboard later to give them a push.

They should keep for a month or two in the right conditions I would think. Cor if they all grow you'll have parsnips coming out of your ears. ;D

(Don't know what I did then but I posted 4 versions of the same post but each one had an extra word in! I can be dangerous at times )
