I haven't cooked chilli all week, But i did make a whole chicken last three meals, - well chuffed. We had a chilli this week and I made enough for one evening meal for 2 and two lunches for me! I tend to cook from scratch now, but I also plan our week's meals ahead, and buy accordingly. I've found that our shopping bill has reduced by £10-£15 per week, I'm not throwing as much food away, and I'm not spending as much time at night deciding what to cook. Also, instead of shopping at Waitrose, I am going to Tesco or Sainsbury's.

I have got a few portions of beef casserole in the freezer though, my slow cooker is a bit of a lifesaver. ;D

That would be too late for me to eat but I would then suffer the next day!

I am making an egg and cheese pasta bake followed by a home made pear crumble Made some spanish bean and almond soup yesterday that will serve as lunch this week - this is the nicest soup recipe I have ever had - it doesnt sound very inspiring but it is very yum yum When blended you are left with a fragrant white creamy soup

I've never cooked oxtail and don't like oxtail soup, so I have some stewing steak in there just in case. The leftovers wil be soup for lunch tomorrow.

I've got a massive pork cracking joint out of the freezer. Now all plug sockets are broken, apart from the one the pooter is plugged into I cant have the oven on! I've got the fridge pulled in here by the pooter, there are wires everywhere : Hopefully Sean will be able to sort it all out when he gets in.

Debi came round this arvo and flicked a switch in the electric cupboard, Eureka! We had our pork dinner, it was one of those meals where every thing turned out lovely, roasters, yorkshire pud, cauli, broccoli and spinach. We pushed the boat out and had Cornish vanilla ice cream and mango for pudding

We had pasta and meatballs in 2 sittings - small folk and their friends first and then OH and me. Second sitting was far more civilised!

I eat Tuna Pasta Bake a lot Sleepy - I vary it with adding an egg which makes it set better or making some bechamel sauce to add with it Either way always put some cheddar on as a topping - I usually make four in one go
