They're good, aren't they? They really do look like professional botanic drawings. And as someone who's had a go at that, I know how hard that is to achieve!

I agree Sleepy your MIL's work is absolutely wonderful ;D I found out only a couple of years ago from my Aunt that I should have gone to Art College on leaving school, but my mother couldn't afford to send me aw The witch...well speaking as somebody who didn't pick up so much as a crayon (unless tidying up my childrens') for years and years I thoroughly reccommend art therapy...especially in the summer when the light's good and the garden's pretty undemanding. I have loads of sketches and half finished paintings of the garden...just being out there trying to copy some of Mother Nature's handywork is jolly relaxing. I even have one that's just an agapanthus and the washing on the line behind it! nothing special and I won't post it here...but it was enjoyable to do..I reckon 4P will get back into her art when her daughter is older and she has more time. After 'the move' The witch? it's never too late to go to art college ;D

Dutchy - don't be regretful - be proud! They are really interesting and beautiful, and VERY well painted. All this stuff is making me really wish I'd been able to do more stuff - it's good though!

Did you click on the link to my personal work site? Or see just the Saatchi one. The reason for regret is that I do not normally go on a board telling that I am a professional fine arts person. Trained at the Amsterdam Academy for Fine Arts ( Gerrit Rietveld Academie ) But hey you are nice guys ( even the girls ) so I came out of the art closet ;D Dutchy
Yes Mick I heard of Anton Corbijn and the selfportrait is a photoshopped photo ;D
