Hi Cheery I don't have any hobbies any more I used to love gymnastics and sewing but all that has stopped since I have had children and a family to look after. - My hobby now is gardening, which one day I would love to turn into something more. - I'm working on it quietly as and when I can. - Life is a funny old thing, but I still love it.

It's difficult to get much time to yourself when you have little children Ali...I was exactly the same when our 2 boys were little. My hobbies then were Dungeons and Dragons, Lego and fossils....if you can't beat 'em, join 'em... My children filled my days when they were at home...and I wouldn't have had it any other way oh yes...another hobby MESSAGE BOARDING!...s'like wind surfing...only with out a surf board...or wind (unless beans are employed) funny clothing that would bring Sleepy out in a hot flush, and with a pooter....

I do Legos too! (With or without children.) Hmmmmm. What else do I do to avoid housework? I'm a collector of stuff. Stamp collecting Autograph collecting. Collection includes Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant, Pres. Ronald Reagan, Betty Davis, Joan Crawford, Dr. Seuss, Jacques Cousteau, Eric Idle (from Monty Python), and a whole bunch more. Collect business cards. I have more than 25,000 and each is unique. Trolling through message boards at *odd* hours. Fossils and American Indian arrow heads. Astronomy Photography Might start going to dog shows with the German Shepherd puppy but am not 100% convinced about it. That's probably the most of it.

I read a lot, collect Japanese pottery and bone china, I also collect pre-war childrens books, I think they are wonderful! I like to study, actually enjoy it, so have done a fair few courses over the years some more interesting than others. I would like to get a chance to do Psychology, actually signed up once and attended till the course folded because of poor attendance. I like to recycle so I do up old furniture for the garden, and find new uses for old items, does that count? In fact Ill attempt most types of DIY with varying degrees of success : I like to watch live music too and have a large collection of concert/venue tickets, the most famous band being Black Sabbath, unsurprisingly.

I dabble. I do a bit of amateur filming and digital editing Two hobbies which are taking up a lot of time at the moment is 'Soft Furnishing' and 'Acoustic guitar' - both of which I am studying at night school at the moment Over the last few years my life has been taken up with both Connie and the Lions Club. Connie has gone now, and I resigned from the Lions last November. But recently I have started giving IT lessons to a new member of staff at the Lions HQ. I would really like to get into carpentry - one day

I keep trying to do something with watercolours. Never seems to work somehow.
I used to do some wood carving but not touched it for years.

I can't wait until next Wednesday's Latin exam is over. The course has put a serious hold on pottering in the garden and with anything and everything indoors, depending on where the fancy takes me. This is what I enjoy doing most of all children permitting.

My lottie is my hobby atm, I love reading but seems, to read 3 books in a week and then nothing for months I did a flower arranging course a couple of years ago and really enjoyed that, so I'd like to do some more of that when I have the time. I also like to go to boot sales, charity shops etc, pick up bits and bobs and sell them, for a profit/loss on ebay, but its not as fun as it used to be, I think the novelty is wearing off

Sounds great - I love car boots too, but the things we get don't make it onto eBay, they're all around the house. Niknak city here. I love eBay too.

Apart from gardening..
I go fishing, both coarse and game. Well, just started the flyfishing, so not really a beginner yet!
I like visiting antiques fairs, where Jennifer and I look for more John Ditchfield to add to our collection, alongwith anything else we spot, we like. Craig and Stephen are into Wade Whimsies. Craig collects the animals and Stephen the houses (and the odd animal!!) so it gives them something to look out for. We don't go to as many as we used to, can't really afford to, but stick to the ones where we seem to get what we want!!
Don't know whether it comes under gardening in a way, but I like watching wildlife, but you knew that, didn't you?!!
I keep fish, both pond fish and a large catfish in a tank inside. Also a rough collie.
Photography is always high up on the list.
Now Stephen's quite good on his bike, we must all get ours out as well, even though Craig uses his quite regulary. As a teenager I loved cycling and went miles at weekends with a friend of mine.
Obviously with a dog, we do a lot of walking as well!

I used to collect Clarecraft Discworld figurines until they stopped making them...got a fair few and OH made me a corner unit with mirrors in so that they can be looked at properly.
I too would like to write a book one day....I used to make up stories for the boys when they were little....and they still remember them. BUT I have tons of respect for LSG for writing a booook...I have lots of ideas but not enough substance, I don't do grammer and can't spell!

I like doing jigsaws too. I found that they are easier if you keep a pair of very sharp nail sissors handy.

I have a tapestry frame that keeps the canvas taught, i learnt from previous attempts, as they would never lie right once you finished them.
