I don't seem to get much time for hobbies these days unless you count housework I like reading, painting, photography, beadwork (including making paper beads). I make paper, I love cooking... I can't think of anything else at the moment ;D

I want to know....does b i t c h i n g count as a hobby?
I know it's not big...and it's not clever...but it seems to be the past-time of choice at work...Some days I think 'I'm NOT going to say anything bad about anybody ALL DAY!'...but a whole shift of not talking at all isn't something I can cope with...

I'm afraid work gets to me sometimes....I have some good mates (like Pinkie) but most of the time we're under so much pressure that tempers sometimes fray a bit. I realised one day last week that all I'd done all day was moan (largely about the boss!)...I'm TRYING to be more positive... Don't worry Sweetie..I'm not changing into a nasty person.... ;D

...and tbh...everybody was quite nice today....but I was away from the madly-crazily-busy hospital..

Well, jigsaws (but only in the winter), walking, reading (mainly to do with bushcraft or cooking), I've whittled a spoon and this is something I hope to do more of when I get the time!, last new year I bought a cross stitch (a large one) - the only I've done before was a bookmark, must start this at Christmas. It is of the hotel in the Forest of Dean where we were married. Also, we are members of an ex-servicemens organisation and hubby is our Branch Secretary, I'm the secretary's secretary!
One thing I have given up this year is tap and jazz dancing. I had been doing it for around twenty years and after seeing the last lot of photographs and the DVD from our show, I thought time to have a break! After all, the audience pay!

No, it's a bit of a mixture between disco(ha,ha), lyrical (which is supposed to be elegant!), and sought of musical show type dances (Grease, etc). Hard to explain now I think about it! I used to do Ballroom and Latin American when younger! When I did my exams, I seem to remeber a Mr. Goodman as one of the examiners - sad thing is I think it was Len Goodman's (off Strictly)father!

We did our tap exams but gave up because we were all nervous wrecks and we were doing it for pleasure! We went in fours for the exam, wiht just the examiner and the pianist in the room, once our teacher also managed to be in the room, lurking but of course not watching! We were suppoed to be doing the same routine however, three out of the four of us went in different directions! Out of the corner of my eye I saw the teacher just slide behind the piano, we just carried on with grins on our faces! Still passed!

My hubby doesn't dance, shuffle around the floor if I'm lucky! We did manage the first & last dance at our wedding though - first was a medieval folk dance! Everyone was on the floor, it was great ;D Then it continued as a barn dance and afterwards an 80s disco.

I used to do Ball Room dancing when I was a teenager, I loved it - but my OH has two left feet. I suggested dance lessons just for the basics for my hubby - didn't get me anywhere When we go to dances, it's usually with the same group of people and I know the men who will always ask me to dance!

Now I wouldn't get up and dance at a party unless VERY drunk..altho I still do the 'Gay Gordons' at NYE parties.....

Great - it's a wonderful form of exercise - better than line dancing, although I haven't tried that. I don't like the idea of having to dress up like a cowboy to participate. : Shouldn't you be a cowgirl........

I have a new collection...... porcelain cups with flowers on them, they dont match but each is a beautiful object in its own right, some of the artists are drawing from imagination, but you cant have it all can you?
