I bought three last year at GW Live, all I got (so far anyway) is a lot of leaves, I know I treated them right, Dee Ashton guided me on it....its too late for them to flower now, isnt it? Perhaps next year. Yours is lovely The witch, ;D Mine were rubbish

I have a feeling they will flower any time providing you treat them right. They need a growing period to build up energy, and then a dormant period. Yours is gorgeous The witch!
Can I post a photo of mine?

Can I post a photo of mine? Ooo yes please P. My daughter bought it for me the Christmas before last - I potted it on and then let it "do it's own thing"

They are lovely The witch. They are a sight to behold when in full flower - amazing. I have 3 Amaryllis bulbs which all flowered beautifully again last year but they are not so good at the moment. This is their 3rd year and they were repotted last year - all looking a bit pathetic now.... they've been fed too and I thought I'd done everything I was supposed to. Green leaves but no sign of any flowers emerging. Shall I give up and chuck them...? ( I have seed trays which could use their space!)

I guess you haven't planted them too deep 4P, I wouldn't chuck them m'dear as they are probably just sulking, I bet they will be as right as ninepence next year.

Dont know what colour mine will be, this is the first year, I bought them last year at GWL, quite expensive, I thought, for bulbs but I was so impressed with the size of them, they really are gargantuan!

This is the 3rd year for mine but I thought they'd had it this year. I'm glad they're OK - they're startling flowers I think. Fantastic.

Have you had your bath already? That was quick! I was so impressed with the size of the bulbs I forgot to ask what colour they were I bought 3 so they may not be the same. It would be nice if they werent actually.

I wish I knew....it was on offer at the GC so I got it on impulse but it didn't have a label - isn't it a glorious colour? The photo doesn't really do it justice. It's a really deep velvety crimson.

I have found a bag with the name of mine on but no colour "Amaryllis Belladonna" googling I found information saying it was autumn flowering, surprisingly so I wont give in yet, oh, and its pink. Unless Ive missed something important such as a variety within the species that is
