I wish I knew....it was on offer at the GC so I got it on impulse but it didn't have a label - isn't it a glorious colour? The photo doesn't really do it justice. It's a really deep velvety crimson. That is a pity, because if you knew it would have been on my wish list. Yes it is a gorgeous colour. We're normally boring and go for Appleblossum! Keith

I think I'll leave that sort of portrait to Plocket - she'd make a lovely picture of it. It's quite stunning isn't it? Only one flower this time though sadly.....

Loads of fresh green growth on my Amaryllis bulbs now, still no sign of a flower though even though they are meant to be Autumn flowering. Ive fed them, and I shant give up hope, theres always next year I suppose.

There's still time - p'raps it'll start growing when you least expect it (as the actress said to the bishop). Mine did, after a most unpromising start....

Nor me....... My Amaryllis's (what's the plural?) just sat looking poorly for over a year until they suddenly kicked into growth. Bought at the same time just about to flower and now they are months apart when they do - it's a mystery..I bet yours will start sometimes too.

How long do they take to get going? (amaryllis...not ferraris) I planted my bulbs up last week and popped them into the conservatory...oooh As soon as you see green leaves emerging, water from the base only and bring them somewhere light and warmish Cheery - the leaves grow very long first, then the flower stalk appears. They seem to take quite a while for the flower to open but then they suddenly emerge - lovely things. X Sorry Cheery - of course you know all that anyway! I don't mean to be such a know it all.... :

Got my FIL to email me thease pic's of thier amaryllis in flower. MIL has done a really good job with this as she had it for christmas and it looked a bit poorly when she unwraped it. I'll have to look out for some blubs if I get to GWL this year. I really like your dark red one 4p.
