Just a reminder, the series starts tonight on BBC2 - it's on Carol and her passion for plants, and what plants mean most to her and the stories behind them.

It does say Specials 2009 so I hope that it is all new - she visits Roy Lancaster's garden, a great plantsman and one of her heroes.

I've just been reading The Garden magazine for April and GW has moved from Berryfields. A greenfield site owned by Birmingham University and programmes will come from there when the new series starts on April 3rd. It says that it will fully replace Berryfields.

I NEVER seem to remember to watch this but sometimes I find it very boring and am sorry but I dont like Carol Klein gushing all over the place or Joe Swift either I would like Christine Walkden to be the Presenter - a good Northern lass - that way we would be entertained if nothing else Anyone know what has happened to Monty

Maggy - they cancelled it for the snooker!
Monty had a mild stroke but he was at GW Live last year. He is something to do with the Soil Association - Chairman or President? And he is still doing his columns for magazines & newspapers I think. I think it's TV he cut down/out.

Jennywren I think Carol is lovely you couldnt get more friendly than her and Christine!!!! well Ive nothing against her but I dont think she has half Carols no how!! and I think she was a bit abrupt to one of our members thats hubby had fallen asleep at one of her talks she is a bit of a laddo isnt she?? Its worrying for me that Monty has to take it easy as I have supposidly had a TIA a mini stroke but I cant remember having any symptoms they just found it on a scan!! Monty always reminds me of my second Son they are very much alike only Monty wears his hair longer! I did enjoy watching him although not everyone liked him either did they? you know what they say " You can please some of the people some of the time " etc;
