Remembering how good the parsnips on the lottie tasted I'm tempted to squeeze a few into the garden, myself. So If you need any more seeds let me know, I wont have room for a full packet.

The only time I cook parsnips is for Christmas day and they are baked parmesan ones. We always had parsnips at home with the Sunday roast. I wonder if whether I grew them, I would enjoy them more. Probably!
I'll scrounge some Emsey, if you have enough please - I will do them in a pot though so I will only need a few to try!

It hasn't really been the sort of weather for going out and having a cold doesn't help either. I hope you are feeling a bit better --and dont rush out just for me ;D the seeds can wait awhile--I will let Mags know we will be getting some from you. We dont have to sow just yet--probally end of February would be alright (I think). Do you sow them straight into the soil? We haven't any room in our garden so will be trying them out in containers-- Thanks once again--Bigs

I've bought the parsnips, white gem, theres loads of seeds so PM me if you need some. they looked the best out of the varietys wilkinsons had on offer 'broad shouldered and wedge shaped' seem the best bet for container growing. Thease grow well with radish, they are picked and eaten before the parsnip has barely started, I have loads of radish seeds (they are from last year tho) so if you want any of them too let me know I cant wait!

Biggs grew some last year in tubes, but they way you have them looks fine, as the less they are moved about the better I think. I'm doing a batch in a window box an some in tubed dotted around the garden. I'll put mine in next month. I'll consult Myrtles Lunar growing thread I think.
