I see! Right well, it can move into the conservatory now in the sunshine as I've moved most of the seed trays out. Let's see if I kill it when I repot it before you send me more - thanks, Mick! X

Have a look around for a small Rebutia, it was the first ever to flower for me, and it started the addiction, I couldnt believe such a tiny plant would flower so beautifully! Before that I considered all the Cacti to be OH`s even though he played no part in their care!

I sense converts.
If its flowers you want go for Rebutias, Lobivias, Pseudolobivias, Echinopsis, Mammillarias and Echinocereus (all cacti).

Absolutely gorgeous SL ;D...I'm building up quite a collection too... My baby cacti died tho I shouldn't have pricked them out...my son said to hang on for a bit and see if they came back, but they didn't. I'm determined to try again next year tho...and will be badgering Mick for seed no doubt.... :

My pleasure CPB but I will have surplus plants as well. Just pricked out my seedlings this weekend as they are suffering from those little black flies.

My Euphorbia thingummy has reddened up nicely after a few days in the warmth and sunshine of my conservatory, Mick - isn't that amazing? I never get over how marvellous plants are. I am seriously trying to work out how I can have a proper cacti and succulent collection somewhere........I have a little alpine table - I'm wondering if I could do something similar in the GH......what's the minimum winter temp. needed please?

Hello 4P. How are you today?
Depends on what you pick. Some will take down to freezing if quite dry, others really prefer 15c. Most are comfortable at 5c. Those I mention above (with the exception of a few Mammillarias from West Indies) are fine at 5c.
If you are a very good girl and go to Sleepys BBQ you might, just might, get some.
