Hi guys. I thought I had replied to that yesterday.
CPB my honey, they should be Ok in the conservatory. It doesn't get too cold does it? if so, just a little water now and then.
Mickiepoo??
Hello lovely 4P - same with you. As long as it doesn't drop below 40f you should be OK. Don't water the cacti though they'll be Ok and the Echinopsis buds will probably sit dormant until spring. Did you get the Sempervivums?

I did get them and I did thank you but you'd gone on holiday by then I think. So thanks very much, angel, they sit in their pots not doing much atm but looking very pretty. Lovely colours. X

Big day today! The Eucalyptus tree overhanging my greenhouse (and undermining it with its roots) has gone! Apparently the garden has now opened up and we get the sun much earlier, particularly on the greenhouse. All I have to do is pay for it now..............

Thank You My Gallant Friend ;D We have one of those low watt radiators in the conservatory and that keeps it nice and cosy in there...not hot exactly..but the plants seem to do well in there over winter

Perfect CPB. Yes SL. It was in the neighbours garden. They couldn't give a monkeys. I hope it didnt cost a fortune, but I suppose it will be worth it, you always worried it would crash down on your lovely GH in high winds, and if it was also undermining the foundations, and casting too much shade, its obviously better gone!

Just to show how careful you have to be at this time of the year, I found half a dozen pots which still hadn't dried out from the last watering a fortnight ago. Bought them all indoors and they will be dry in a few days.

My 'normals' are still outside, Mick. They seem very happy and since they're on the second shelf of a set of shelves aren't getting that much rain, if any. They're quite protected where they are - I might just leave them there?

I'll get back to you, Mick - the reason being that a while ago you identified some of them for me, and I think that was on page 6 of this thread - the only one that I can't access as there's no number to select, just dots if you see what I mean, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't! My computers playing up on AF at the mo and to be able to get around quickly and without getting stuck I have to press Esc+S, but this in turn stops me selecting pages in the drop-down list. As clear as mud, I think! When I log back in, before doing the Esc+ S bit I'll be able to access that page and tell you.

I would be nervous about leaving them out for the rest of winter.

Thanks Mick, I'll bring them in then. They're in troughs now and not individual pots - I remember you saying that maybe the pots I'd repotted them in were a bit too big. TThey all fir into two troughs. They're much closer to each other in the troughs and look a lot nicer I think, and they're definitely much easier to move around!

Should be by now - it was fine last year wasn't it? Yes - it flowered really early too. Does it look healthy otherwise? are the stems firm or wrinkly? Does it still have roots?
