I loved Enid Blyton too Jenny. Was hoping the boys may like the Secret Seven etc...but they never got into them. I read all the boarding school books - St Clare's and Malory Towers and was then very disappointed to find boarding school was nothing like that at all. I loved enid blyton too, mr galentinos Circus (prolly mis spelt that) The Children of cherry tree farm was a fave, I've already been buying them for the kids, and the borrowers, still looking for millymollymandy and Mrs pepperpot ;D

It still brings tears to my eyes when I get to the picture of Bambi under the tree after he has lost his Mom.

Has anyone read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer? YOu have to really loose yourself in it and use your imagination but I love to do that. I simply cannot put it down. It's part of 4 books she has written about the same characters and I'll hopefully be getting the other 3 next time I'm in town.

The name rings a bell, but I don't think so, what has she wrote? just catching up on threads now after my hols Em. She wrote The Pilots Wife. Strange fits of Passion, A wedding in December. She's good but you'd have to be in the mood and they don't all have happy endings.

I've started reading a Marian Keys book, I find her so easy to read, sometimes its a welcome break, and her humour is just so me ;D Its called the otherside of the story, I've read all her books.

I'll have to look out for her, but I've got a pile to get through, another one by the author of the bonecutters daughter, about 5 Bernard Cornwall and Marley and me.

Em do try Marian Keyes "Anybody out there" - one of the most amazing stories I have read - and very unusual too - sometimes you read a book and the story is very similar to another one

I've read Frank Mccourts books, very sad, I remember reading his brothers book, can't think of the name of it, when I was in labour with Holly, Sean left me on the labour ward to go and get his car taxed!! I was in a lot of pain, just think well its is supposed to hurt, when he got back, (it took him hours) I said I think you'd better get someone, they had quite a shock when they checked me!

Maggie and Em I'm just the same as you two regarding characters and book names. I've also often bought the same book twice and only realised when I'm have way through it that I've read it before.
