I just wish I had half the talent of some of you on here. I remember doing O'Level Art at school and got dropped down to CSE, 'cos I couldn't paint to save my life. I could draw no problem, as my teacher would say, but as soon as I put paint to it, my pictures were ruined!! I was reasonably OK with different shades of pencil, but it was paint that was my downfall. As 4P says, you hog away, Biggles!

You are all so very kind with your lovely comments-- MDPlants-- (How do I shorten your name?) If you can Draw then you are an Artist--You dont have to Paint-Why not give it a go with just Watercolour Pencils- I know you can do it--or just try Black/White drawings shaded in with the pencils aswell. And if that doesn't look right just call it "Abstract" Now if only I could Draw or Paint Flowers---when Winter arrives I might try them ;D and what a Laugh you will have!! I will have to Scan some other Paintings to Post later--Bigs

There is only one snag with Painting--I never know when to Stop fiddling about with it--This one I put to one side thinking I should do a bit more to the Arch but got fed-up so left it-- hence the sides of the Arch are not defined as they should be-- But now I have got it out again I think it may be alright--Bigs

Wonderful paintings Biggles. The sunset one is gorgeous. There was a lady at Exmouth last weekend and she sat doing a watercolour of the view across to Dawlish - it must be lovely to be talented like that! (Painting by numbers is my limit!)

Thanks all for your lovely comments-- My horses were painted 'Off scene' cant you tell? They look like old ones ready for the knacker's Yard!! How about other members posting some of their Art work? I would love to view them--Come on dont be shy!!--Sometimes we artists think our work is not very good but others look at the paintings with a non critical eye- and see the work put into it.-Bigs
