I found a HUGE brown caterpillar in the garden this morning which I can't ID. I've started a new thread about him and Sleepy thinks it might be an Elephant Hawk Moth!!

Oh I really am on cloud nine this morning. Just before I took the kids to school, nearly ended up being late, I was given a great ten minutes. I will keep you in suspense, until I download the pictures, you won't believe me otherwise!!

OH rang this morning while on his way to work, to tell us that there was a stag trotting up the road. He said it didn't seem preturbed by the traffic (not that there's a lot at 7.30am) and it was almost as if it were a route the stag regularly used LP's comment was "Oh, but did you see any rabbits?"!!!!!

I know, I am surprised they are such good pics as I was shaking at the time and through the window, as well. I have umpteen more of the finches, but think that is the best one. I went shutter happy!!!!

That blackbird must have been dirty, as that was clean water, honest. I can hear splashing again, so it is there again I think!! Keith

Thanks Mrs Beige. I was really pleased this morning, so much so that I nearly was late taking the kids to school! Made it with two minutes to spare in the end!!

Brilliant Keith Goldfinches are rather partial to niger seeds, but I suppose you know that. I loose track of how often I fill the two bird baths I have in my garden. : Yep I did, The witch and they were the reasons I am sowing some teasel, atm. Maybe I should have bothered!! Where they are is a general dumping ground for the next few months, so maybe I will leave weeds growing there for now!! Shock horror, did I just say that!! Keith
