They are lovely Elsie but I dont think they are as popular as they used to be I dont know why! I have a nice trailing one year before last. ;D

What a lovely collection you have! We have a couple that are in flower at the moment. They are so easy to look after and keep flowering year after year! They were given to us by a gardener friend who grows them to give away. Now isn't that a nice thing to do!

They're exquisite, Elsie. Tough plants aren't they? Which is a prerequisite for anything coming into my garden. ;D

I used to do Begonias for the shady side of my house but Mrs C got a bit fed up with them because of the constant dropping of the old flowers.

Yes they are good shade plants aren't they? And the slugs and snails won't touch them, good all rounders then!. We have some Sempervirens which stay out in the Winter in pots, but in the Summer and Spring are used in pots, hanging baskets etc, two years running now. I'm optimistic that I'll be able to use them again this year. That's probably not unusual for Sempervirens though, hence the name?

Hello Karen - I have never grown Begonias from seed - I have always bought corms or plants. If you decide to give seeds a go it would be a good idea to mix a pinch of silver or playpit sand in with the seeds - it helps to spread the seed more easily. I do this if I sow Lobelia seeds Pam x
