Ive just bought a poppy Perry,s White do you think it is too early to plant it out? I dont have much luck with poppies!

I'm not sure - if you planted it out now wouldn't it just stay dormant until it was ready to get going again? It's not a particularly delicate kind is it?

Dont know Mrs B it was from Morrisons and some were starting to show green on the combs! its pretty sunny to-day Im very tempted. ;D I remember buying a plant from Wilkinson's - I can't remember which right now, but nothing delicate, that I took home and just left it in its pot on the patio. I could tell from the start that it was having a hard time as it needed to get acclimatized from being indoors in the supermarket to outside conditions, so I had to be a bit gentler with it. But if the poppy's only just sprouting I don't think it will have that problem of the shock of being outdoors. I'd plant it if it was me.....

Too late The witch its in its in a sheltered position and Ive mulched it so cross everything.
