I got some free poppy seed from D T Brown's...some red Californian poppies and some big opium ones...I can't decide whether to sow the big ones or not...they do take over don't they.....?

It looks very like a peony doesnt it? I dont have much luck with poppies Im sick of planting them I dont ever see them again.

We tried planting poppies once along our driveway, but someone stole them, so we never bothered again. Poppies and Cactuses are regularly stolen by those who think they can get drugs out of them apparantly!

It looks more like a carnation to me Lovely colour though, a very delicate green.

Sorry Sleepy I can't share your passion - I'm not a fan of green flowers. I'm with The witch, There's so much green in the garden I like the flowers to add color. I have some similar Poppy's in the green house, they are pink peony bomb blast Poppy's. It looks like I'll only get a few flowers this year but I really hope they do flower.
