Alright then, how about your favourite annual, half hardy or otherwise? No veggies though!! Mine has to probably be the sunflower, I think. Keith

It would be a choice of the glorious Cerinthe purpurascens, the wild flower OxEye Daisy, or Sunflowers.....I think.......I dunno though...what about the English Marigold, the Harebell, all those Poppies or the stunningly beautiful Morning Glory.........um......

Oh dear, like 4P I can't choose. Definitely Cerinthe would be close to the top of the list, but also lavatera and godetia ... but if someone said 'you can only ever have one annual in your garden', it would be NASTURTIUMS, even though I'm for ever weeding out their seedlings. Fantastic summery colours, will grow where nothin else will, cover up manholes and things in no time, and even when there are no flowers the foliage looks good - and you can apparently eat them, though I've never tried ... cheers ...

With annual climbers it's either Morning Glory 'Heavenly Blue' or Mina Lobata....both absolutely stunning. I spose gazanias are pretty near the top of my list..'kiss bronze' is to die for...lovely bushy little plants that flower throughout the summer (and this variety doesn't only open when the sun is shining on them) ...and I luuuurve cosmos 'sensation'...they grow really tall and are smothered in flowers all summer too. Choose ONE I can't.....

My Gazanias think they are hardy perennials I think.... last flower in December, but now more buds forming. :
