Thought you might like to see a Cyclamen hederifolium corm which I unearthed this morning, looking for another deep coloured one. This is a self sown seedling too, with probably white flowers! Not even the biggest corm we have either.

Thats quite a good example of a Cyclamen corm though isnt it? You must have ideal conditions for them OB.

Believe it or not, the corm is growing in a foot of pure (ish) gravel over sand. The only soil in the gravel is a little leaf mould from the cyclamen leaves as they rot down and any dust blown in from the garden. We have a friend who shows plants. He has one in a 19 cms pot which he had to cut with a carving knife to get it to fit in the pot!.

They do not seem to care, we have them self seeded all over the garden from deepest shade to dryest sun.
