I'm not sure if my Winter Jasmine has passed on or not. I've read that it starts flowering before it produces the leaves, in Winter or early Spring. So presumably if it's deciduous that implies that at this time of year if it has just bare stalks it's OK? It's a very new plant and quite a small one, bought very healthy a few months ago from Morrisons. Has anyone else got one?

I have some in pots which are now bare MrsB. If the stalks are still green and bendy I'm sure it will be OK. Has it only just lost its leaves?

Yes, just the leaves. It just started looking sorrier and sorrier for itself when everything else was thriving but it's still all green and bendy. Thanks 4P.

Mine still looks dead - the leaves which are still on it are brown and dead. I think it's passed on, what do you think?

I've got to admit - a couple of days ago I put it into the composter. But I'll get it out and check. NOTHING's happening on it at all, surely there should be some sign of life? If it's still alive a spell in the composter shouldn't have done it any harm.....? I'll check.

I would put it in a bucket of water for a couple of hours and replant it!! you have to have patience while it gets established Mrs B. Mine is growing rampent but its growing behind the greenhouse so I dont see much of it unless I go inside : Ive taken some cuttings so that I can cut it back I think its in danger of breaking the glass I will go out and have a look to-morrow and see if there is flowers showing.

I was sure I'd put it in there - the power of thought! I scraped the bark and its brown, all brown.Yours sounds lovely and healthy maggyd, but I think mine's gone to meet its maker. The stems are definitely light brown under the bark and not even a tinge of green.

Oh well theres no such thing as a failure in the garden just more planting opportunities! (well it makes me feel better)
