Found these flowering also. the first is Gentiana paradoxa, but the other has no label and the name escapes me.

Cant identify the second but if i mentioned a few varieties would it jog your memmory.

Thanks for the offer Karen, but I doubt if my memory is up to it these days. Still anything is possible, saves me having to trwal through the books  No, not this time. The sun was well hidden and I used an umbrella to shade the plants and that seems to have had the same sort of effect. |
