Thought this might interest. It is one of the herbaceous Clematis as opposed to a climber. Not particularly spectacular, the flowers are only an inch or so across, but we like it. I took the picture after dark, the blue disappears in a daylight photo.

Very nice, If I had a bigger garden I would have a border specifically for viewing at dusk, when the whites and blues zing out, I like to sit and watch the garden alter subtly as the sun goes down.

I've got a couple of heracleifolias Owdboggy and I like them because they are so unpretentious, and so different from what people expect ;D

If you want a real eye catching flower covered herbaceous clematis then try one called Arabella!

I've just looked it up - very pretty - I'm not sure I can be tempted to buy another clematis yet though - I simply haven't got the room at the moment, and I'm still trying to work out where to put my Brunette baby
