Looks like you had a wonderful time Plocket. Bodnant is gorgeous, I have never been there, though I would like to. I have been to Conway a few times, its a wonderful castle ;D

OOH, that bent tree! Ooh, that gorgeous Laburnum walk...it looks really beautiful. I've been to Wales many times but I've never managed to get into Bodnant - I'll have to try harder.....thanks Plocket.

You MUST go, especially if you get to Conway - it's only down the road!!! We were spot on for the Laburnum walk, which was a pleasant surprise, but there were lots of lovely things to see. There were some stunning roses and clematis, lots of herbaceous things coming out, and I would seriously make a special effort to go again myself. We also went to Bluebell Cottage Gardens & Lodge Lane Nursery which has recently been taken over by Sue who was BBC Gardener of the Year I think in 2005. It was lovely and she also gave us a tour of the gardens and nursery beds, and of course I bought some plants! Here's the link if anyone's nearby: www.lodgelanenursery.co.uk/index.htm

I loved my visit to Bodnant Gardens - we used to live on Anglesey - I would love an archway of Laburnums
