Do you know, I think I'd completely remove that piece of lawn altogether, perhaps put down another row of slabs and have the rest as flower bed......if it was me. But it looks lovely anyway, sugar plum! I'll shut up.....

...OH would like to slab the whole bleedin garden....but I'd like to get rid of more slabage....and sow grass seed I do like to see a bit of lawn, even if it's only a weeny bit... We won't be able to extend the bed any further tho as we need the room for the tenty-gazebo...do like having parties and they tend to spill over into the garden....so a beer tent is a must ;D

Oh that looks lovely Cheery! And you KNOW what I'd plant!!! Perhaps something taller to hide the water-butt? If you put a bit of screen put up you could have a clem there, and still have space for lots of herbs! ;D ;D ;D

Cheers Plocket. I was wondering if the grass looks a bit daft..but I can't be without my bit of grassage...love it when we get a whole heap of birds on the lawn pecking about looking for grubs and worms...as I said earlier I'm working on OH to try and get more slabs removed...I would like a retractable clothes line but we ent got any sky hooks so we'd still end up with an unsightly post....sigh...oh the restrictions of having a small garden....

Tell me about it Cheery! But you've got a bit more bed and still a nice patch of grass so things are good. And I like the s shape - curves are good but you can now edge the path in front of the greenhouse - if you put nice smelly things in there it will be lovely as you brush past. And a clem of course!!!

Looks really good Cheery - did you plonk the bricks straight onto the soil or did you bed them down on something? I'm asking cos I would like to do the same at our new house, as it will save having to use the edging shears and will also stop OH mowing my plants which dare to grow over his lawn. :
