Something to be proud of

I personally think that sometimes us Brits don't do well against the rest of the world. I felt that the Dome was a disaster, and that the Olympic games are going to follow the same pattern. However this news made me very proud today:

but I find it scary that we have to rely on Gordon Brown for anything, I just cant seem to find it within me to trust him......

I cannot deny that it's a good project, but when you go round the nations of the world and ask what they have done that they are proud of, when we say:

'Well, we collected a lot of seeds'

Is probably going to raise a bit of a giggle.

I don't care if they do laugh at us - I think it's a wonderful achievement and will gain immensely in importance as the decades pass and more and more of the world's plant heritage is destroyed. Good on us for having the forethought to start on such a massive project!
Besides what do a few medals, world's tallest building, world's longest whatever matter anyway? It's all fribbling.....

I think theres a really big seed bank in northern scandinavia, I think its international. Any are a good idea, just incase.
