Dorothy Clive Garden

We visited the Dorothy Clive Garden in Staffordshire today, and not only did we enjoy the wonderful garden, but the weather as well. There were very few people there, and we meandered around the informal grounds pretty much alone most of the time. It was early for the azaleas and rhododendrons, and some of the magnolias and camelias were finishing, but there was still plenty of colour, and much to delight us.

It's lovely isn't it? And entirely man-made! There's an amazing sculpture/statue of a stag at the top, which LP insisted on sitting upon. It draws the eye incredibly, but I didn't take a photo of it on this visit. We've been quite a few times you see!!!

It's a lovely place. I like the waterfall best too. You are lucky visiting so many gardens - does your OH like them too?

YES!!! Luckily he likes wandering around gardens, and although there aren't many to visit near us, the ones we know of are lovely. Because MIL is staying with us this weekend we might well visit somewhere tomorrow too
