My wish list is very short - I just want someone to help me! I have my perfect garden really but it's too big for me and it's reverting back to field. Either that or I'd like the strength of ten men, a new back and lots more time. And paths....proper paths. If you're talking plants - then I would like a prairie garden. I love Piet Oudolf's planting and I have an area I'd like to plant up like that, I have some of the plants and more of the seeds but no time to dig, weed and make ready (see above).

I need to do a carpentry course ...I need new shoulders too, I cant put the power behind a saw to make a clean cut. I want to build fences, raised beds and a rose arch/bench.

I'd just like to finish the front garden (a work in progress for 2 years now) and continue to improve the back...of course a LOTTERY WIN would be nice....we could move then to a bigger garden (and a nice house o'course)...I wouldn't want to loose this one tho...so I'd probably hand it over to a member of the family who needs a house of their own

My garden wishlist is to have at least another 3/4 years here, so for once I can complete a five year plan. On my main list is a nice bridge to go over the pond, but not to cost what some cost!! Maybe I have to learn some carpentry as well! Plant wise, some large tree ferns wouldn't go amiss! Oh, and a large banana plant as well!! I don't ask for much, do I? Keith

There's mostly clematis on my realistic wish list! in no particular order: Addisonii; Cassis; Josephine; Angustifolia; Blue Bell; Ember; Hirsutissima var. Scottii; Columbiana var. Tenuiloba; Sophie; Socialis....... More space is on the less realistic wish list!!! ;D

Hmmm.... you're getting a little mixed up there Big P.
A bluebell is a woodland spring flower. And an ember is what's often left after a bonfire.
I thought you would have got the hang of clematis by now!

They sure do Madon, but finding someone who grows then sells them is going to be mighty difficult. Ah well! The joys of extending a collection to more unusual plants hey?

Ooh, a bridge! Years ago I went to a massive Reclamation yard just outside Cambridge and there was this beeeeautiful wrought iron bridge about 20 ft long. I have no idea where it came from but even then it was over £10.000! I ALWAYS include this bridge in my "when I win the Lottery" fantasies...it was so lovely. Wonder where it ended up??

Over a 20ft wide pond!!! ;D ;D No, I only need a 10-12ft long one, but you have given me an idea, reclamation yards. I have never been to one, but I must find my nearest. OH and I have always wanted to go to one, but we keep moving house, so never end up finding one near to us. Thanks 4P, now where are those yellow pages? Thinking about it, I am sure I have a favourite about them, so must see if I still have it. Keith

Um, my pond is only about 3ft wide! I love reclamation yards. When I was doing up my barn I spent ages wandering around them (and auctions - lots of small outdoor auctions still in Norfolk). They used to be good for picking up bargains but with the plethora of DIY programmes on the TV they have upped their prices. Very pricy these days. It's a shame. Junk yards are more fun nowadays!

How about THIS Keith? Not long enough, I'm afraid. In the middle, the pond is 8-9 feet and then to clear the rocks need another maybe 2-3ft, so about 12ft is what I need. Oh, you had built my hopes up there!! Yep found that site in my millions of favourites. www.salvo.co.uk. Will have a good look later. Keith P.s. Message to Keith. The bridge sounds DIVINE 4P. I love reclaim places - you've no idea what you might unearth - I've got a lovely bit of French balustrade in my garden - only a tiny bit, but lovely all the same!!!

I just know a few hours of work with it, will make all the difference. Once I know OH's job is safe, I can carry on. Tell you what let me think about it! Keith

My wish for my garden right now is that my neighbour finishes his clearing up projects so he's not up in trees sawing away overlooking our garden or leaning over into it painting his fence or pulling down his Clematis and scattering whatever there is of ours back all over our garden - in short, all we want right now for our garden is to have it all to ourselves again. That would be luvverly. He's got to finish soon hasn't he? Can't be healthy for a man to spend too much time up a tree if he isn't Tarzan.
