I went shopping last night and, in our local Lidl they had quite a few gardening bits and bobs. I got a nice thick garden kneeler. I have great trouble kneeling as my knees are not in good shape! They also had packs of perennials for 69p each. I bought three packs to try, (2 x astilbes, 2 x white phlox, and 5 x Commelina). I thought that at 69p it was worth the risk. ;D They had some quite sturdy trellis, and wooden planters too.

I went as well PG I had to turn over the back border and get rid of old plants so I could plant 25 gladioli, I also bought anenome 60 corms, 30 oxalis,3 lily, 3 saponaria, 5 comelina, 2 hosta, 12 dahlia. Im exhuasted just thinking of what Im going to do with this little lot, talk about getting carried away . BUT THEY WERE A BARGAIN but I dont think Ill be going to the next garden sale I have no willpower.

;D Planted everything but the dahlias I'm all planted out : I think I will have to hang on a while yet though I can,t be bothered to tray up and take cuttings as I don't think I have room to plant the 12 tubers never mind any more.

Its not cumpulsory, Maggyd if you cant fit them in! Ive never had much success with Dahlias , none really : Something always scoffs them while ignoring everything else in the border.
