I am always wary of Laburnum since one of my friends had to take her children (and next doors) to hospital after they ate the seeds in a game, I think they were playing sweetshop. The treatment involved force feeding charcoal mixed in ice cream
It is a very attractive tree though, when you can guarantee no children are going to play nearby.

Oh I know, the most unlikely things turn out to be deadly, but unfortunately children appear to find Laburnum particularly attractive, I have always taught my children to eat only from plates or foods presented by me, especially after my friends experience. They are all too grown up for accidental poisoning now, thank the Lord!
