I know there is a similar thread somewhere else but I cant find it, and its a subject close to my heart, what do you re-use in the garden after others have (or would have) thrown it away? Recently Ive rehomed a poor forgotten greenhouse, taken two pallets of S/H paviours off a builders hands, picked up bags of leaves for my leaf bin at the lottie, and recycled the roof of my old plastic GH (the only bit not destroyed by the winds)as a cold frame! The paviours will make excellent paths in my garden when the lawn comes up, and a nice path to my new porch too ;D

I am VERY envious of the paviours...they'll look brilliant. I have old caravan windows in a stack and I'm waiting for something to turn up to build the frame with for my new cold frame made from a patio door I've been given - not as brill as your goodies but still recycling. I don't think there's much in my garden that isn't recycled actually as I'm officially poor and as mean as a mean thing! I'm always on the look out walking the dog in the forest - it's shocking what folk dump in there. It really grieves me but at least if I can use it for something it reduces the impact just slightly on the poor wildlife. If you've got it in a car anyway why not take it to a tip? Grrrrr.........

As long as you are looking your chances have risen 100% Plocket I found a pair of black wrought iron candlesticks in one once, they were displayed at the front as if the owner wanted someone to see them, so I knocked the door. ;D

I was in the Sutton coldfield area by the park...lots of people with more money than sense over there Plocket! One of my friends got a more or less brand new Zanussi tumble dryer...in white, with the showroom stickers still on it, because the lady wanted all blue appliances in her kitchen. Madness!

Oh that's crazy - and sounds like my friend's OH's mum - everything has to be colour co-ordinated. What's wrong with slightly wobbly chairs and other slight niggles???
Perhaps I should start looking in skips furtherafield - or go looking for them!!!

I have tried to colour co-ordinate, but it doesnt work unless you buy it all at once, fashion being what it is, replacing one item later, you cant get the colour any more, white is the way to go definitely!
