It looks like Daddy has finally been warn down, after months of pester power, Holly and managed to make him utter the words 'if your good, and you work hard at school, and try your best to whinge less (she has the art of winging down to a tea, and breaks into full whinge mode, instead of asking for help or explaining her problem) you can have a dog. After some discussion, we've decided we'd like a small dog, when OH and I met we (my parents and I) had a Jack Russell, and Sean, who's really more of a cat person, look to our cat sized Sidney, so it looks like it'll be a JR or a JR cross. We are going to have a puppy as I think a puppy will fit better into out lives, and will be more excepting of the kids, cats, guinea pigs and of course the chickens. So watch this space

I've always said, we may as well have another baby as a dog I am pleased he's caved tho, even it'll be hard work. It took ages to get Minni house trained (we got her as a kitten last aug.) Did I read you were getting another Dog Jenny?

How exciting emsey, we would love to have dogs but not practical at the moment and like the cat they would be spoilt rotten. I make do with fussing everyone elses and sending virtual cuddles to Teddy!
How will your older dog take to the new afghan Jenny?

Aww Jenny your poor friend, it'll help her knowing someone she can trust has taken in at least one of her pets, I bet other friends will really where they can too. Hopefully your Afghan will enjoy the company. My SiL wanted to know why we don't want a boxer. She has 2 a boy and girl and expecting pups in about two weeks. they are from good stock and will fetch a lot of money. they are just two big! They know the kids over when we visit (all in good fun) A little JR is more our cup of tea. HE?SHE will be plonked amongst the hens from day one

Well we have a new arrivel! An 8 week old jack russel yorkie cross. She's more Jack russell than yorkie as you can tell from the photos. Holly has named her Hyzenflay after one of the rabbits on watershipdown (her favorite film ATM) here are a few pic's. Her and her Mum a yorkie were taken to a small rescue centre in tamworth.

Awh what a cutie - she looks very much at home My old dog the Yorkie has had a new lease of life since the new dog Afghan arrived He eats EVERYTHING I put down whereas previously he would sniff at it if it didnt have enough chicken on it or only eat half and leave the rest The new Afghan just ignores him but they are in the garden together

I'm glad the afghan has given you Yorkie a new lease of life, its funny how picky dogs change their tune if they think their food is threatened! I took Hyzenflay up to see the hens, being in mind she can barley toddle and is 1/3 their size they set up a warning cry and abandoned their afternoon snack of rice, Hyzey decided she'd try it instead. its odd, there's no way they've seen a dog before, and they'd never seen a cat, but they've never been upset by the cats. I think they'll get used to the dog in time. Guess who slept of the sofa last night

I love our little pup Em funny name though its as bad as the one my grand-daughter gave her yorkie (Caileb) my other son calls him cabbage . Hyzen looks a sturdy little one and he is a lovely colour, you,ll have to keep him near the chickens till they get used to each other wont you? Oh that poor boxer!! that is a lot of pups isnt it?? how is she doing now?

Oh hope Mummy is OK - my GF's Afghan had 14 pups and still had one inside her so they had to rush her to the vets and operate - then her milk dried up cos of this - so 14 had to be bottle fed - I remember seeing three chairs in a row in my GF's living room with two boxes either side
A total relay was ongoing all the time - when the last one had been fed then it was time for the first one to be fed
Exhausting

Hyzen is doing well, but doesn't like nighttime much, I feel like a new Mum, 2 nights of not much sleep, not that i'm complaining! I think we've found a formula that works now, the green blanket, on the sofa with the radio on. All 11 boxers are doing well, mum is home and managing to do some of the work on her own, but SIL and OH are helping her. 8 boys and 3 girls.

Took Hizey for her jabs today, she's been very quiet. While we were there a mans cat escaped from her cat box in the car park, it was very upsetting, I hope they've found her.

Looking forward to taking Hizey for her booster on Thurs, then she can go WALKIES Here are a few photos of Hitzys Puppies, I went to visit them on Saturday, they are so lovely, they haven't got to that nippy stage yet, they seem so laid back I wonder if they ever will. Hizey is like a pair of pincers, her mouth is always opening and closing like a dyeing fish, even when I'm telling her off for doing it! photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs128.snc1/5495_97471582529_724237529_2020933_2695635_n.jpg photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs148.snc1/5495_97851692529_724237529_2026611_1456937_s.jpg With MUM photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs128.snc1/5495_97851747529_724237529_2026622_7969618_s.jpg photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs148.snc1/5495_97851687529_724237529_2026610_3167995_s.jpg With Dad Sorry thats the only way I seem to be able to copy, via link and I haven't got time to play around today. Hope you can see them Mum has done very well, 11 puppies, they did loose one after about a week but Nicole and Wayne have worked tirelessly and at great expense to keep the brood of 12 (if you count Mom and Dad healthy)

Emsey, they are gorgeous! I've gone all daft over them - I would want to take them all home!
How's your little one - it will be better when you can take her out for walks - tire her out!
