I was in east London on tuesday near tower bridge and a fox walked past me like it was a stray dog, not a care in the world.

Where my husband works they were just about hand feeding a wild fox. They recorded it on a mobile phone. They are just like dogs.

Teddy looked just like a fox cub when we got him at twelve weeks! I keep a lookout here though I wouldnt like him to come across one in the garden they have been seen.
Its sad really when they have to come out of their natural envirenment into the cities because they get killed in the fields.Mind you will have to mind your chucks em!! it would be awfull if they got into them.

You'll be lucky. It was 31 years ago! ;D I used to work in Fournier Street - opposite the old Spitalfields market. And lived in Buxton Street - the other side of Brick Lane.

My fox story: I worked one winter in the famous N Alberta oilfields and on one cold dark (yet dawning) morning a fox came up to where I was working and sat there just soooo pretty, almost like a sheltie dog. He kept his distance, but just sat and his eyes were begging. The steady workers there had him trained already as they had thrown him meat sandwich scraps as their entertainment. I had nothing, but would have done the same. He/she (?) probably had a litter of kits somewhere in the bush. That big bushy tail all wrapped over the toes. What a beautiful sight! soon he left, as I had nothing. Nothing but a wonderful memory. Manfred

My husband had much the same experience Manfred he worked on the Oil Refinery he was in charge of underground storage and the brine resevoirs, the fox was always hanging around and it was very tame the men all used to take food in for it.

Say Maggy, ...Cleveland , U.K. isn't far from Paul McCartneys beloved Mull of Kintyre, is it? I am encouraging my 13-year old son to play the Bagpipes with me singing that song. not that we can do nearly as fine a job as Paul did, but we love the tune.
