I have lost the Label so can't identify this plant. I bought it from the Local Nursery last year it wasn't in flower then--

Sorry the photograph is small-but the best I can do. I gave my son this plant from my 'other' garden when I moved and cant remember the name of it. It is about 12" ht , doesn't spread, has Purple flowers -and likes a sunny, partial shade spot. The leaves are velvety to the touch and grow on either side of the stem. The flower grows at the top of the of plant. Any suggestions welcomed--Thanks--Biggs

Hi Jenny--I posted a reply yesterday on here but I think the Gremlins somehow have deleted it! I Googled the name and saw the pix but sorry to say it is wasn't Linaria. I think they are Pulmonaria- I have just noticed the leaves have white spots on them. Thanks for your help anyway--Biggs

Oh am sure they is not Pulmonaria - Duchy sent me some seeds from Holland and I have a lot of these - Pulmonaria have different coloured flowers on the same stem - pinks, lavender and mauve
Need a close up of the photo really

I am waiting for the flowers to show on the plant and will post another photograph later. Sleepy- thanks for your suggestion but I dont think it is that one. OB Where are you? You are good at identifying plants--or has this one got you stumped aswell?
