Has anyone been watching this new programn about herbal remedies? I just switched over as the presenter herbalist James Wong was making a treatment for vericous viens, he had a couple of people testing it out I think it was made of Horse Chestnuts but cant be sure, they seemed to say it had made some improvement in the colour of the viens and the pain. He also made an infusion of Ginko biloba leaves for improving your memory! might try that. ;D He also made a deodorant out of pine tree sap, that was dried up and crystalised on the side of the tree,s, he added lavender, rosemary,Vodka! lemon rind and lemon rind. He made a shampoo for nits also out of lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil. and Nemoil (sp) he used his pesal and morter a lot. it was interesting as everything was natural and no chemicals. Im going to have to check out the website and read all the ingredients agian as he talks very fast and you dont catch everything. Still its interesting just to see how herbs can be used.

I've watched in now for about 3 weeks Maggy and while I agree it's interesting I'm finding a lot of things about it off putting. The price availability and quantity of all the different ingredients for one kind of prevents me from trying them out. I thought it would be a lot more basic, using flowers and herbs and berries even roots perhaps but some of the things would have to be ordered online e.g. hops and lavender for the sleep pillow, there's nowhere I could get them here in the city. Things like that if you know what I mean. I do like James Wong 'tho. I saw him today on contryfile.
