Of course they look so exotic don't they but they can ruin your plants in no time at all. I did see one last year which I got rid of pretty sharply. I've got quite a few lillies and have'nt been too bothered by them. Hope I don't end up eating my words. I do keep my beedy eyes out for them. I've heard that they make a screeching noise when they're attacked but I've not heard it. Has anyone here ever heard them make that noise?

I found 2 this week, both times too late as the centre of the plant had been eaten. I crush them to bits and take great delight in doing so. They are really destructive.

Nope I would'nt take the chance of the birds going for them Petal, knowing my luck they'd run right back into the garden.

I saw a lot of those last year, they even like lily of the valley, and will move very quickly, when you try to catch them, always landing on their backs to hide their red colouring, crafty little blighters! I squished em whenever I could, and put white paper under the plants to defeat their crafty disguise method.

Well I've found loads of the things since I came back at the weekend and my lillies are covered in the horrible brown spots they leave. This is not going to be a good year for my lillies I'm afraid.
