I've lifted all the pebbles at the end of my pond, removed the weeds, washed the pebbles and relaid them. And I've pruned the buddliea and the cornus. The pond is already much clearer and smell free. And I've seen a frog and a newt.

Great Sleepy, I agree with emsey, a bit of sunshine and getting out in the garden really does lift our spirits.

--I knew you wouldn't take offence--You are a great sport-- Gosh--Isn't it quiet on here today--Everyone must have taken advantage of this lovely weather we are having. I have been out in the garden doing a bit of tidying up--The Spring Bulbs are coming through now, the Lily Bulbs are coming on a treat poking through the soil--and what a difference the Sun makes to lighten our spirits-- Hope Poppygirl keeps visiting the Banter Box--then she will know I am not a Nasty member-- ;D--Bigs

Well, after visiting Dad this morning, I spent most of the day in the garden. Have started to tidy up the back border, chopped/hacked some overgrown shrubs down, moved a gooseberry & a paeony (neither were doing any good - too near the neighbours leylandi things! so I decided whilst they will probably struggle this year, with some tlc they will be better next). Planted an Hibiscus (it's from B&Q and about 3' and not wanted by a friend) I was given last year which has sat on top of the soil! All helped by Poppy tearing round me and jumping on everything!
The only downside was I have just been to the big Tesco - never again on a Saturday afternoon - nearly abandoned the trolley and came home!
