We do. : Someone's Mom cat gave birth to these two days ago but had one dead kitten inside. She was spayed ... has no milk or motherly instincts. I'm the one who's supposed to care for them because the owner of the Mom cat won't and neither will anyone else. Funny how that works, no?

Been a very tough night! Only the black kitten is left. The little stripey one died first and then her sister suddenly was dead two hours later. :*( Is it because they have no colostrum / first milk? Is it because they are weakened because there was a dead / already decomposing kitten in the uterus with them? Dunno. The little boy seems very strong. ... But so did the mostly white one too. Mike and the children help with the orphaned ______________. (fill in the blank.)

Aww thats a shame, at least its not on your conscience, you did everything you could have, hope the little chap who's left Carry's on doing well, how about calling him snowball or snowy? Or Poncenby (from the rise and fall of Reginald Perrin)

The baby boy died a half hour ago. :*( I held him, cuddled him and soaked him in tears as he passed away. He was doing soooooo well this morning and early afternoon then suddenly he didn't want to eat. I knew! I got him home and tried a few things but knew I wasn't going to win. His belly got really distended like those of baby bunnies that are hand raised. They lack the proper microbes in the GI tract and toxins build up quickly and they die. And he did too. :*( I *really* wanted to avoid this heartache and tears but ...... well ... didn't. :*( He went to be with his sisters where no one will ever harm them. D*MN! I only had them for two and a half days and I feel sooooooooooooooooooo bad for their loss!

You did your best and that is all you can do, and I believe the little kittens knew that, that's why he wanted your cuddles and reassurance and started to purr. He was saying thanks for trying. He is out of pain and with his little sisters now.

Thats sad Lydia but you tried your best and thats all you could do which is more than the owner did I dont suppose you can ever harden yourself to losing little animals when you care for them so much at least it had a loving passing.

Oh Lydia! Im so sorry, I agree with the others, the babies were given a break by being sent to you, and shown some human kindness in their brief existence, you did your best for them, and you are a wonderful woman, but you arent God, the final decision wasnt yours to make. I shed some tears for the kitten when I read this, but mostly, they were for you.

Thanks. The cat woman came in Tuesday with three more newborns! She wanted us to keep them "just for the day" and feed them! WHY? Mom Cat was doing a great job of caring for them and feeding them! Oh the little black one looks weak. Maybe you can just keep him and boost him up? NO! She was crying and said she was sooooooo busy ... yet she had enough time to basically camp out for an hour and a half in one of the exam rooms trying to convince us / me that we should take over the care of the kittens. She came in the following days as well unsuccessfully attempting to dump the kittens on us. The kittens are growing and thriving and Mom Cat is happy and purring at her little family. She again wanted me to ...just take the kittens overnight to boost them up.NO! First of all they are all doing great! Secondly ... if we switch them to bottled milk they'll probably get rip-roaring diarrhea then for sure we need to keep them and fix that problem. I told her ... as she was leaving dejected again with the kitty family ... ~Congratulations GrandMa! Enjoy YOUR kittens!~ ;D

You're 100% right! She has her priorities mixed up. She has far too many cats, knows it, but ... refuses to have them spayed or neutered so she's generating more kittens / cats! We told her with the first litter that had died ... bring in your cats ... we will spay and neuter them for you FREE! She has a kitten factory and it should stop as it is already out of hand! Oh I don't know. The males don't get in with the females.Obviously they DO. Two litters of kittens is proof! : Again ... obviously she wants more kittens just doesn't want to care for them? HUH?

I think she wants reporting she is abusing them if she has so many I have watched the rescue people in America and the conditions these poor little things were living in was appalling! they even found one dead cat wedged behind a wardrobe they was only skin and skeleton left. It isnt cheap these days to keep a couple of cats if you are treating them right with flea treatments and injections! seeing as she is bothering you cant you give her address to the Animal rescue and ask them to check up on them? Just a suggestion Lydia but the thought of them little helpless animals being left with her is worrying isnt it?
