Where has it come from though? it didnt say did it! Ive never heard of this before its unusual that it can attack ocross the species not like Dutch Elm desease.

Its horrific, that`s what it is! Im very concerned, Cannock chase is a very popular spot, and the chance of infections escaping from there is very, very high!

I'm sure they said on the news its come from the far east on cheap imported plants. They were burning massive chunks of the heath, I really think they should cordon off the area, people (and thier dogs) cant be trusted to stick to the paths. I dont know how long it will take for the danger to pass.

Cannock Chase was on the news again today, they are urging people to keep to the paths and keep their dogs on leads, it would be so easy to spread these spores to the oaks, or off the chase into peoples gardens.
