I had a set of these for Christmas and have follwed the instructions - at least what I remember as I threw the box out! They had little shoots on them when I unpacked them, I put water in the vases and sat the bulbs on top with the base just touching the water. They were put into the garage for 3 weeks (about) as it said they needed the dark and cold. I have now put them on the kitchen window sill - any ideas as to how long before they do anything? Preferably grow!

Well, the second one appears to have tiny white roots appearing now and the shoots look healthy as well. The third one is looking decidedly iffy - shoots very grey and no roots appearing.

Quick update - well, two are growing quite well, green shoots have appeared but I don't think they will flower in time for February's competition, we'll see. The third one is still just sat there! In the words of the song 'two out of three ain't bad'! I'll see if I can get a half decent photogrpah over the weekend.
