I mean on HERE Yes Goth, it is an on-line show and I envisage starting a new thread for each category with a closing date for when your entries (i.e. photographic evidence!) have to be in by. Judging will then take place and a large party with presentations will be held! The Easter display will be the first section.

NEW CATEGORIES ADDED We have added HANGING/WALL BASKETS & TUBS to both the flower section and the vegetable section. If you have never tried vegetables in a basket/tub, give them a go and have some fun by taking part as well - e.g. salads, tomatoes, runner beans - your imagination is the only limitation!!!!!

Great idea I did 'Tumbling tom' tomatoes in hanging baskets year before last - They did very well. just remember to water and feed them, especially water them as they dry out quicker than in tubs/ bags. Having a daft thought, I wonder if you could grow a couple of bean plants in a Hanging basket Instead of climbing they would hang down of course. Any problems with this idea anyone.

We tried the 'Hundreds & Thousands basket toms last year - I made the mistake of putting one of the plants in a basket that proved to be too small, those in the large basket were fine. Would the dwarf beans be better in a basket for the same reason - root space? As emsey says, it would be worth a try though if you have a spare basket and plants.
