Hi Karenwl have you grown leeks before? Do you know when they might start to thicken? When are you going to plant yours outside? Any advice gratefully accepted, dont really know what to do with mine. Hi Tulip Ive grown them for the last 2 years and they hve done very well. I will not be planting them out for a few months yet. Mine are still very thin, they will start to thicken. I keep mine in the plastic greenhouse, i just keep the compost moist and not saturated. I have not had chance to take a pic yet but i will MONTHS Karen does that mean I shouldnt try to put mine out till I come back from my holls 20th June? Hey Jen (tulip) do you want some lodgers???

No problem Karen I put them in before I went away, I had to put a net and some sticks over as the birds were pulling a couple out, they are looking alright they are about pencil thickness now, I gave them a good watering and sprinkled pellets Im now wondering if I should trim the tops I did before I put them in but they have got pointy tops again I think it must be the shorter side that has now grown!! if you understand me!! I had to shout at Teddy when he jumped over and he seems to have got the message!! I hope.
