Saw this idea on a website when looking for an earring holder for Catherine for Christmas: It was simple to make and only took an hour. I used one of my old Osmonds LPs to make it! How to make it: 1. Mark out the hanging holes and earring holes with a light coloured pencil. 2. Push a darning needle into a cork and light a candle. 3. Very carefully, heat the needle over the candle flame until red hot, and proceed to burn holes in the LP [take care at this stage]. You can also use a tiny drill bit and drill the holes instead. 4. When you've completed all the holes, you can either hang it up using ribbon, or place it on a plate stand. It's a good idea to protect your table top while doing this. I used an old piece of wood. Catherine was delighted with it and when Lissie saw it, she wanted one too

Wow, aren't you clever, but why an Osmonds LP? Says she who doesn't have a clue where hers went! Also, didn't they use a cork and a needle to pierce ears years ago - so I was told! Actually, I think mine were done like that when I was 15! I know they didn't freeze them properly and they had to sit me down & give me a cup of tea

What a good idea I bet my grand-daughters would like one of those and I still have lods of records! I dont throw much out Im a bit of a sentimentalist! my daughter is the opposite ! chuck it! is her by word! I used to use a darning needle to make the teats holes bigger in my babies bottle I didnt have the time to sit for an hour feeding I always had a couple of others demanding attention. So is it only suitable for the hook earings Goth? Oh and by the way its nice to see you here.
