I used a bag that I opened last year - I had to let it thaw & dry out first It was really soggy. I did wonder if it would be any good and I think for finer seeds, it wouldn't, they would stand a chance in the big clumps!

I haven't sown my Sweetpeas yet--but will do shortly.Hope it is not too late for the Trials--Bigs I planted some in March/April last year and they were fine, flowering until October. I am hoping that by starting some off early I will have a much linger flowering season. I've checked mine in the cold-frame this morning (after seeing Plotty's photograph of his), they still look the same as when I pinched the tops out a few weeks ago, they haven't done a thing.

The others in the cold frame haven't done a lot since I pinched them out, in fact they have just sat there.

I like to sow my sweet peas straight into the ground in the autumn,(late Oct or early Nov,then i just forget about them till now, when i start to feed I've sown some into the ground around this time of year or in April before but this is the first time I have started some off in November/December time (was a bit late!). I was hoping by starting some early I would have a longer season of flowers - last year's sown in April flowered from July/Aug until October, I wanted some earlier ones this year. Any tips would be very welcome Farmersboy, thanks.
