When we had the patio re-laid and extended I did away with my pond. I had a few pond plants and decided to sink a trough into the ground and put the plants in it. The plants have survived and I also still get newts and a few frogs too. Even a very small container can work. ;D

It got 'planted' the day after we moved here, to save plants too. Within two days, two frogs came to visit. They are still there, though they pop to the big pond occasionally!

Probably thinks it's spring, as it's mild again after a cold spell! ;D Though it might mean it's going to rain soon! Good grief, rain in Birmingham, whatever next!!
