I have just been looking round my garden today--It looks quite bare apart from the miniature Wallflowers. The Daffodil Bulbs are peeking through the soil--even Tulips are showing their tips--so Spring must be on its way. Everything else is still asleep waiting for the warmth of the Sun. I am browsing through seed/plant cataloges--to try and give me ideas for the coming growing season. It will soon be the shortest day of the year and when that passes we can look forward to Springtime. Let us hope it is a good Gardening Year with better weather than this Season just gone past.

I had a wander yesterday and have bulbs poking through. The Witchhazel has flower buds and I noticed a couple of Clematis have started to form buds too. I just hope we have a nice spring and summer this year.

I just hope we have a nice spring and summer this year. I hope so too and if we do have a good winter, maybe less bugs to worry about! I have some bulbs coming up, mainly dafs, but they are there, ready to burst into action come spring. My small Viburnum Bodnantense Dawn, is thinking about it's winter flowers.

I will have a wander around over the weekend, it's very soggy in our garden.
The promise of spring, it's a lovely thing! I do love all seasons and am hoping for a proper winter, not a damp, warm one!
And then there is the planning for what to do next year..................

I think we have got so used to the Forecasters getting things wrong--but If they are right we should expect Cold freezing snowy weather shortly. It might just slow down the sudden burst of growth in the garden just now. --Bigs

We are on our way now the shortest day is nearly over. Just get Christmas and New Year over then it will be all go--go-- Last year I forgot to put markers where I had planted my Spring Bulbs-I remembered this year (Thanks Goodness) so I wont be poking around with the hand fork loosening the soil and finding that I am moving the Bulbs that were planted! ;D I hope those who have allotments can get on their Plots without sinking into wet soil-
