OK, what would you really love to appear all wrapped up and just for you for Christmas? (real and fantasy....) I would really love some new tools - good quality ones.....particularly a half moon edging tool......my boss at Ecot bought hers in for me to use a while back and it was one of those lovely 'heritage' ones with an old fashioned wooden T bar handle - it was a joy to use.....it made me realise how really knackered all my tools are! : And a fantasy present- I want a new shed, just for me, with a wall to hang all the tools up properly.........a big shed, 12 X 10, with a lock! Somewhere to put everything I use where no one else can 'borrow' stuff and not put it back......... I won't get anything like that though - if I said I wanted a half moon tool my lot would look at me, puzzled and bewildered, and buy something entirely different......

My OH made me a potting bench (back in the good old days!). It's just really rough wood and is very straightforward but it's been brilliant......can't you leave a few drawings and 'plans for home made potting benches' about? Your OH is pretty handy isn't he? This is no time to be subtle.....

Oh, that's easy - another big greenhouse and the time and money to work in it.
(all fantasy I'm afraid)
And a car that works.....

I'd *love* a garden shed and a greenhouse. We might have room for a small shed but none for a GH. Oh to have a genie in a bottle who would in the blink of an eye have the house cleaned, clothes and bedding folded and put away, the garden raked and tidied up so I could have more time mucking around in the ponds and planting things.
Guess I need to move to Fantasy Island!
Look ... Da plane! Da plane!!! ;D

I'd like to get rid of some more of the slabs in the back garden....maybe Santa could take them away..... Fantasy present...a bigger garden with a more formal layout...a walled veg garden at the back, large heated GH, composting area out of sight...room for the odd tree..... and HYOODGE great borders full of plants.....sigh.....

Try Freecycle to get rid of the slabs Cheery. ;D Break them up with a lump hammer, and use the rough edges for a small wall somewhere.

I'd like my kitchen aka bombsite to be finished, worked on or even started on - OH has promised to have it done by Christmas(this Christmas). He's cutting it fine! I'd also love lots of nice big pots and the paths in the garden laid. Actually I'd love all the half-finished jobs to be jobbed. I'd love that more than anything! My OH is very good at ripping this/that out to be sorted out later, and then there's the living around the debris until he gets round to it, it's everywhere, forever!. It's a bit like living with an animal marking out it's territory, 'I've ripped that to bits therefore that's MINE'.....I seriously believe he think it looks attractive, like he looks like a busy busy handyman.......! Yes, I'd love my OH to go around and get all the pending megajobs done before he gets bored and starts moving in on the next one....! Where are you Santa!

I must be very lucky as there is nothing I really crave for Xmas. ;D My greenhouse is quite old and has had several repairs done on it, but it does what it is supposed to. It could be a bit bigger I suppose. I would like a bigger garden as most of us would. I'm quite a simple soul and have never been materialistic, I am quite easy to please. ;D If I won the lottery I would buy my own little pad where I could have time out.

Im like F.C. I cant think of anthing I desperetly want for Christmas either in fact Ive told all the family not to waste money on us as all we want is some decent weather so we can go on our merry way in the van! mind you I wish Teddy,s puppy tooth would drop out so he didnt have to have an anesthetic to have it pulled. Ive got a large shed its about 15'X9' I think and its full to the brim and a greenhouse that gets very little use these days its housing my patio set at the moment : but anything I put in it to overwinter sucumbs to the frost.Go on tell me off what I need is a little inspiration! but Ive done it Ive had it bursting with seedlings and tomatoes Im just past it I think now!maybe I should want a bit of get up and go for Christmas

What would I like for Christmas? Umm, now let me think. I still want that greenhouse, doesn't have to be big or expensive, just a proper one, not made out of plastic. Now a fantasy present. Mine wouldn't cost a fortune, either. WORLD PEACE!

Great thread 4P ;D I would love a work bench in the garage to use when potting on and sowing seeds, atm I have to put a potting up tray across the wheelbarrow - which makes my back really ache! My fantasy presents would be a small greenhouse and a new back lawn. ;D The witch, I just wondered if you'd thought about buying a fold up camping table for a workbench - they are only about a tenner, they wipr clean and they fold up flat - perfick for sliding into the side of the garage out of the way........and you could sit in the garden pricking out seedlings etc in the nice weather! I use ours for an extra seed tray space in the conservatory when I run out of windowsills and desk space ;D
