I thought I'd put this wonderful site on the board. I use it often and have recommended it before but it has been updated and there is now a brilliant section of grasses and sedges etc... The link to native trees and shrubs is equally good. www.british-wild-flowers.co.uk/index.htm

Thanks 4pygmies, good photographs.
Something to help spot sedges - sedges have edges!

Gosh, there are a lot!
The 'leaves' or what I call the green stringy bit, are triangular not flat.

What lovely clear photos, and it's much better than any wildflower book I've got. I'll Bookmark it too.

I bought a little book on wild flowers as well its a Collins Nature Guide Wild Flowers of Britain & Europe I keep it in the Mhome and find it very handy as it has litttle dots on the edge of the pages all different colours so if you dont know a name you look it up by colour.it has £7.99 on the back but I wont have paid that I bet it was in a book sale.
